Meta has documented content partnerships spanning AI development and information delivered inside Meta AI. Shutterstock announced an expanded relationship in January 2023 to provide content for Meta's investment in AI.

Documented data use

The Shutterstock agreement is evidence of commercial content sourcing for AI. Separately, Meta's March 2026 announcement names News Corp, Le Figaro, Prisa, and Süddeutsche Zeitung as partners supplying news for Meta AI responses.

Those news integrations provide timely information and links to publishers. That announcement describes runtime content access; it does not establish that those publishers' material is used to train models.

Working with Meta

The cited announcements describe established partnerships. They do not provide a general dataset intake form or standard purchase terms. Sellers should distinguish rights for training from rights for displaying or grounding answers when assessing fit.
